Parents Consent To Baptize Children
Should a Pastor baptize a minor without parental consent?
Why, or why not? |

What if the pastor's children decided to attend church with one of their school friends and they were of another denominational belief. What if their friend's pastor baptized them without parental permission because their parents were "unbelievers" of their brand of Christianity? |
Re: Parents Consent To Baptize Children
Teaching children to disobey parents in the name of God is still wrong. A pastor should never attempt to override a parent's authority. Love/Win the parent.......and teach the child the Word of God, when they get old enough they will follow the Word that has been planted in their heart.
However, if I were a betting man.......I would bet that if you teach a child to rebel against the God given order of authority in their home.....when they become of age (even if they get "saved" in violation of their parents) they will most likely NOT serve God and will have submission issues with God and others as long as they live. |
