Computer problems

The first thing that happened is that my pages were not loading properly. I had to double click and some wouldn't load at all.

I then went into Add-ons, checking things out, and noticed that my Avast Online Security had been disabled. Don't know how that happened.

Today, all of my Bookmarks have been deleted.

I ran a check with Spybot, Malwarebytes Antii-Malware, and Avast ProVirus.

Malware or Avast, can't remember now, said it found one threat and then three threats which it was unable to delete and put them in quarantine.

So, what do I do now and how do I correct my pages loading and where in the world are my bookmarks? :girlytantrum

I would do a Window's System Restore and restore back to a date before you started having problems. Make sure your security is enabled before you reopen your browser.

I already tried that and it didn't work. I think the reason is that my computer is having problems loading anything. But, I will try it one more time.

Try deleting your browser and reinstalling. Restart your computer in between deletion and reinstallation.

I have to tell you...I have dealt with zero bugs, viruses or general hinkiness since switching to a Mac. Windows has some advantages for programmers, gamers, etc., but Mac has the advantage of headache-free use for the average user. My computer doesn't have or need any kind of anti-virus programs. The security is built into the operating system and is very, very effective (and invisible). We are a very happy Apple household.

You may not be able to get book marks back. Don't know what you mean by pages.

Is Avast up to date?

Try booting into Safe Mode, update Malwarebytes and Spybot and run both in safe mode
