Thank you most kindly. Honestly, I think I buried myself with conviction here. :) I guess that's good; if a message can't be applied to ones self it probably is undeserving of others.

Yes, Bro., the Lord indeed does bring insight, conviction, and understanding to our hearts even as we minister from the Word.

I want to share with you the story of a dear saint of God in my life who many years ago left an indelible mark on my life. She was a lady who loved to pray, more than anything else, and that is no exaggeration. We prayed together every chance we got. She would call me up and ask me if I would have lunch with her, and then we would go by the church to pray for an hour, many, many, many times. This lady prayed more than any other person I've ever met, and a more loving, giving, sweet, generous kindhearted soul you would never find. Never an unkind word, but if there was a problem of any sort, you knew she was taking it before the Lord. She went to be with Jesus earlier this year, and I was not able to attend her funeral, as we live many miles apart now. But, I rejoiced when I heard she had passed on to meet the One she spent so much time talking to.

When you know someone who has fully surrendered their life to the Lord, and lived and walked a life of prayer, then you surely are blessed. I know I am, and I will never, ever forget the special memories, and hours of prayer that we shared together.

That is a very fitting tribute to a saint; she sounds somewhat like Anna in the New Testament.

Years ago when I was at ABI, an elderly saint passed away that had been faithful in prayer and service for many years. I remember Bro. Sabin, her pastor when she passed away, telling that he had visited her shortly before she died. She was in something like a coma; non-responsive, if I recall correctly. Her lips were moving but Bro. Sabin couldn't hear what she was saying, so he leaned down and put his ear to her mouth.

Very softly she was saying, "Hallelujah...hallelujah...hallelujah..." That's a great way to leave this world and enter the next, isn't it? I believe that is one reward of a truly prayerful life.

Hello! I enjoyed your thoughts on prayer.
It is something we all can do anytime, anyplace.
What a priviledge to be able to come boldly before
the throne of God to talk with Him.
Prayer changes things and mostly changes me.
Thank you for sharing.
God bless!

Very well put; I agree totally.

I remember reading once something like this, 'There are many things we can do before we pray but there is nothing we can do well until after we pray'.

You mentioned E. M. Bounds in your video. I was at a thrift store the other day, and found a book written by him on prayer for 25c, and am reading it now :)

Have you ever read any of William Law's books? I highly recommend this one "The Power of the Spirit."
