I heard a Muslim Turned Christian's Testimony
A local church in our area hosted a special service this past Sunday where a former Muslim who is now a Christian came and spoke about his experiences. It was an incredible experience to listen to his story. I wish Shazeep and WII could have heard him speak. He spoke with such love and compassion about the people who have been raised in the religion of Islam, and said that they were victims of a religion who has stolen so much from them.
He shared his testimony, an amazing story of how he grew up in Iraq in a very wealthy home. He memorized the entire Koran at age 12, and was highly educated, and traveled around the world. Through a Catholic friend whose mother was their housekeeper, he was given a Bible, and he said that as he began to read the Bible he discovered answers to questions that he never understood about the Koran, and after reading the Bible for some time, one night he attempted to talk to the God of the Bible, and the Lord appeared to him with a bright light, and he said he felt the very insides of his heart and body being washed and cleansed, and such a powerful experience left him completely in love with the Lord Jesus. There is a lot more to his story, including the fact that he went through a terrible time of capture, torture, and then living underground in Iraq for several years before finally getting a visa to come to the USA. If you would like more of his story, he has a website: http://www.SalvationForMuslims.com His testimony is shared hoping to enlighten the American people about the truths of Islam and Muslims that you will not hear from the media, and his greatest desire is to see the Muslim people come to know Jesus Christ, and to have their lives transformed by the power of the gospel. |
Re: I heard a Muslim Turned Christian's Testimony
There were many, many things this man shared that were enlightening to hear. He shared from the perspective of a man growing up Muslim, now Christian. He rebuked us, as Americans, for believing the lies that Islam is a "religion of peace". He emphatically stated that there is no such thing as a "moderate" Muslim... for at the very center of the faith of Islam is the teaching that infidels and unbelievers need to be killed. He said many people ask him about ISIS, and is it in the US today. He said that ISIS is in the heart of every Muslim person, and while they may not be acting upon it as ISIS is doing... the basic belief is there, and resident.
He said that his loving, wonderfully precious, generous mother who doted on him, and loved him dearly, and loved Allah with all her heart .... when she found out he had converted to Christianity, turned against him and was instrumental in kicking him out of the family, and causing him to have to go underground. These are things that the media will never portray about Islam, and Muslims. |
Re: I heard a Muslim Turned Christian's Testimony
One of the most interesting things he shared was how Muslims view Christians and Jews. Again, he emphasized that this is a cultural mindset, and something that you will not find by going to the library or listening to the media.
First, he shared that Mohammed taught in the Koran that it was Ishmael that Abraham was about to offer up to God, instead of Isaac, and that the people of Ishmael are really the chosen people of the world. For this reason, all those of the Muslim faith believe they are the special elite and chosen of God, and look at Christians and Jews especially as unfavored ones. In fact, he told us that Muslims believe that all other people of the world evolved from pigs and monkeys (essentially evolution) except for those of Ishmael's descendants, and that is why Muslims won't eat pork, because they believe that all other peoples are descendants of pigs (he told us that Darwinism was born out of the Koran teachings!). He said Muslims believe that all the good deeds that Americans do (like the soldiers in the Iraq doing good deeds) is because they are acting out of guilt, because they know they have "wronged God's chosen people". They don't see help from the Americans as acting out of love, but out of guilt. They believe they must convert the entire world, and through their conversion efforts that much blood will be spilt, and must be shed before their Messiah can come (Al-Maheedi). This is the belief that ISIS is acting upon, and is a core belief to the Muslim faith. Well, I could go on and on. He shared so much information, that I am still thinking about. Bottom line... he said ISIS is in the heart of every Muslim who believes the word of the Koran, and the actions of ISIS are essentially believed to be actions that must come about before the Messiah can come. He spoke about how Muslims are takers, and that is why they are emigrating to the USA in huge numbers. He said they are coming here to take whatever they can, because they believe they deserve it, and whether they have lie, cheat, steal or kill - whatever they have to do to bring America down, they are willing to do it. He said that Muslims will never convey this idea to anyone else but a Muslim, and that is why you will never hear it on the news or read it in a book. But as a former Muslim, he is begging us, as the American people, to unite and come together in unity, and to understand that the only way to halt the progress of ISIS is to pray for the Muslim people that they would come to know Jesus. He said love and the gospel is the only way to win this war... that bombs, killing and more hatred will never stop its advance. His parting message was this.... Pray for the Muslim people... they are victims of a religion that has stolen the truth of Christ from them, and they have believed a lie. Only the power of the gospel can change what is happening with ISIS today. |

Sadly (though understandably), he chose to stop coming. I pray he found God again wherever he's living now, but the fact that his mother would do such a thing to stop him from coming, is a sad example of how destitute Catholicism is. |

How interesting that right after reading your first post on here I saw that someone had shared this article on facebook about a guy from ISIS being confronted by Jesus in a dream. It reminds me of Saul.

Most of this is incredibly interesting and terribly sad. One of the saddest things is that Americans are intentionally being divided so that the country can more easily be taken over. There will never be unity. |

They primarily refer to law breaking Israelites being changed into apes, and swine. No evolution story. :) |

It is a terribly sad thing to realize that so many millions of people have been blinded by a religion of death... and even more sad that Americans are not able to understand what we are up against with the Islamic beliefs. |
