Ducks and geese

So I'm thinking about ducks for eggs and meat. Anybody got experience with them?

And what about geese? I don't plan on butchering and plucking bird 5 days a week, but for an additional meat staple they sure seem to beat turkey and chickens.

No experience w raising them since I was a youngster.

I’ve eaten wild ducks (teal, mallard) that I’ve shot duck hunting. Suckers aren’t fit to eat in my opinion. Wrap them in bacon and it just ruins a good slice of bacon.
However, I’ve heard domestic tastes much better.

Have eaten wild geese I’ve shot too, not too impressive, but I’ve never eaten tame geese.

We can’t raise chickens because my son is very allergic to egg whites/yokes. His duck hunting dog got into the neighbors chicken coup in a bad way, came home and my son broke out in a rash from petting him. Adios blk lab...

I’ve eaten duck eggs. Good stuff.

I do have some steers :)
