I Am Not Happy About This

Gang, I am not too happy over having to do this, but it is really looking like I am going to have to take a break from posting for awhile. My job is taking up quite a bit of my time, and school is taking most of the time work isn't. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done I'd like to get done.

A few days ago the Lord dealt with me about better managing my time, because I have not been spending very much time in study lately. There are some things I believe God has in store for me down the road, and I really need to get back into the habit of daily Bible study.

I will be honest with all of you about something I have stayed quiet about. I believe God is going to open a door for me to minister in prisons again. I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, given the fact that I don't have a church home picked, but I just can't seem to get away from this. The last couple of months I have felt this urgency in my spirit regarding prison ministry and I need to be ready if that is what God has in mind for me. He already dealt with me about who and where I need to give my tithes and now this prison ministry thing is really coming on strong.

We all know how this place can be a time stealer and I want to do what God is telling me to do. Right now He is telling me to spend more time in study for whatever is next. I just don't see how I can do that and continue posting as much as I was. I'm kinda hatin it 'cause I finally felt like I was getting to the place where maybe I could contribute a little more to the forum than I had in the past with Bible studies and whatnot.

This isn't a farewell thread or anything like that. It's just a "I'm gonna be busy with some other things for awhile" thread. Christmas is just around the corner, and we all know what happens when that debate gets fired up!! :D I really can't get caught up in it this year. School is too important, work is too important, and getting back into digging into the Word is way too important. I love y'all. :)

PS: I would encourage all of you to study Christmas out for yourselves. You study standards and traditions to death to prove your arguments for or against them. Why not do the same with Christmas? Why should the celebration of Christmas be above scrutiny? Just something for y'all to think about. Now GET RIGHT!! (I just couldn't resist! :D)

DM, I am very much in favor of the advertising resolution passing. As for school, I am learning how to become a software engineer. That's a fancy word for programmer. Money cometh!! :killinme

Thank you. What I am hoping to do is create some Bible studies I can use as a basis for any message I end up preaching. My idea is that it won't take all that much time to post the studies as I get them done. That way I can get some feedback from other apostolic folks (not that I would be able to respond to all the feedback, of course).

Just a few weeks ago I was reading a little on Paul's conversion and came across this scripture:

Ac 9:3 And as he journeyed, it came to pass that he drew nigh unto Damascus: and suddenly there shone round about him a light out of heaven:

I thought I could use this as a jumping off point and title it, "Almost There" and then go into an evangelistic kind of message, designed to reach those men in prison. The way I see it, they were almost to where ever their life of sin of was going to lead them before the Lord allowed them to get caught, just in the nick of time, so someone like me could come along and preach salvation to them.
