Texans ,What Is A Feeder Road ?

Recently I got some mail about a conference in Texas.
In the directions to the meeting it mentioned a feeder road.
Is a feeder road what we would call a service road in Alabama?

A feeder road is dem dair roads that runs all perpendicular to the freeway. An exit empties the interstate onto the feeder road as well as feeds traffic onto the the interstate.

I hope this has been a might bit helpful in your quest to master Texanese. :)

Yep....I'm born and raised East Texan. Personally, I most often call it a feeder, but have used all three and known it as all three.

We Texans are just cool like that! :roseglasses

I would call a feeder road the same as a frontage road...D4T seems to have a different interpretation...he's a lot older though. :)

You know most folks have a misconception that the greatest musicians in the world reside in Nashville,TN. I think they reside in Texas cause there are alot of great musicians in Tejas.
