Confusion and Defections Abound

I am somewhat surprised at what I am hearing and seeing. Sources from all over the country are reporting many men have already left. Still others have expressed similar intentions.

Amazingly, men from both sides of the debate are leaving.

but then we hear NO one is leaving..

what's the truth??

I can verify this.

I have seen many posts, elsewhere, that prove many are bailing out.

Sad.

Amos 10-02-2007 01:04 PM

Surely no one is surprised?

I could never have imagined the absolute viciousness that has become the outflow of this past Friday. I have never seen so many good men hurt and disillusioned.

Men turning in their cards, abandoning their posts, and walking away from it all. Men from both sides of the issue.

There is a lot of angst presently.

I have heard numbers as high as 10% of the ministerial body will be leaving. That is over 900 ministers.

Somewhere on this site, I said 500 churches and 1000 ministers.

I hope i am wrong but it would not shock me.

this isnt the first (or the second) exodus. it may not be the last. It is sad that any have left but honestly it may be best for both those that are leaving and those that are staying.

Just keep repeating Paul and Barnabas.

10% is a lot of ministers Sham and Ferd .. but I had told my DS in my letter of resignation ... that the polarization was so deep that even when this thing would pass this year it woud not resolve a thing.

I have also thought of the scattering of the Christains at Jerusalem. I do not think this is all a bad thing. There has been so much disagreement in the organization for so long. If a splintering will help that and unify both bodies, maybe it will be a good thing.
