Knowing without doubt

The lightening flashed
And thunder rolled
Two thuds, the ground
And then it was over.
For all that gathered round to see
The two had stuck together
For eternity
For each loved a lass
Of considerable beauty
They would brag to each other
Of their love’s charms and duties
Marriage would come for them
Everybody knew
But they finally understood the day
When both men winked at
