I Am A Charismatic
 

Dear friends of AFF,

I just found out from others that I am now a "charismatic" because of the church I attend. I have been UPC from the day I was born but now that I am charismatic I feel that I should fully embrace my new identity.

Can you guys help me? I need to find some ways to let folks know just how charismatic I am. Are there certain rules or guidlines to being a charismatic? Are there certain things I should do to make sure I am KNOWN as a charismatic? What about doctrine and issues of salvation? Are there certain beliefs that charismatic's hold close to their heart?

Just like I followed all the rules as a UPCer I guess I need to follow the rules of a good charismatic.

AFF, please help me become the best charismatic that I can become.

Wear shorts, grow a goatee, and a nice necklace or ring would be good to wear too.

If you're full fledged Charasmatic the FIRST thing you need to do is grow a goatee.....That's the first sign that you're no longer with us :) :) :)

Well, my legs are very white and skinny and I am to cheap to buy jewlery. I don't even wear my wedding ring because it is uncomfortable.

I might be able to grow a goatee but I work as a staff accountant in a CPA firm in a small town and facial hair is not the norm. Now if I was an insurance or car salesman I could get away with it.

According to the Ultra Con dictionary a Charismatic has NO rules or guidlines, so do as you please.

HA HA HA. Funny thing is that like one week after everyone in our church left the UPC you could see a few guys with a little more facial hair than normal.

Of course we have many that have almost gone ULTRACON to prove to the folks at the old UPC church that they haven't gone charismatic. You wouldn't believe the rumors that we hear about ourselves.

And you should learn that hip new song, "I'm A Charismatic".....

I'm a Charismatic,
I am not ashamed,
We read the Book of Acts,
But some of those things have changed,
We worship in the Spirit,
The truth, not so much always,
We are Charismatic, in every way!

What do I have to do to be a part of your organization? What are the financial commitments as I only own one pair of shorts?

On your affirmation statement do you guys ask how often I wear shorts or could I be accepted if I only wear them every once in a while, like on vacation or when I am only around other charismatics.
