Being baptized is having ones sins washed away and being risen up in the newness of God, doesnt mean your full of power of the Holy Ghost but it does mean that your sins are washed away by the blood...

Im glad that you are trully seeking. Tongues is not just a gift of Apostles. Salvation is based on the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus.
