Our geese do not show up till season is over. Our stream does not freeze. So when the lakes are ice covered, they use our stream.
I need to get out today. But I am not as young as I once was....

Duck hunting has been productive this year. Mainly wood ducks and mallards. I will probably clean shooting lanes at the deer blind. I will probably set out a few fox traps.

If the turkeys are large, say 20 or 25 pounds, I bake them in the oven.
I breast the ducks the same way a grouse is cleaned.
I do eat the game I harvest. Unless it is a canine.

Duck season is open in Wisconsin. We have ducks in the trout stream that meanders through our backyard.
Having trouble geting out of bed this morning ended up placing me at the blind a little...
