Re: Pelosi: Impeachment inquiry against TRUMP

Trump should have been impeached a long time ago.

Re: The future is HERE!!!!

The relationship between water pollution and miscarriages is well documented.

Re: The future is HERE!!!!

Out of control water pollution, as seen by Trump deregulation, increases the number of miscarriages nationwide.

It specifically depends on what pollutants are in your water supply.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?

Ed Crawford and Matte Crawford were PAW missionaries to Palestine in 1926. They lived in Indianapolis from 1923-1926. GT Haywood signed a letter of recommendation as part of their passport...

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?

A hymnal put together by Mattie Crawford came in the post today. It is from 1925.

Contributors include Mattie Crawford, GT Haywood, W.E. Booth Clibborn, and Joseph Reznicsek. I will take a...

Re: Doctrines Based on Only One Verse or Passage

The Bible does have themes. It has topics that lots of writers focus on.

I prefer to major on the majors and to minor on the minors.

Re: voting for pastors

ἐκλέγομαι is used by Luke 4 times in Acts 1:24, 6:5, 15:22, 15:22.

See also Luke 6:13 to describe the calling of the 12.

Mind you, I am on my first cup of coffee and have not thoroughly...

Re: voting for pastors

Apostles lead the church, Or, they did so in the past. Both Peter and Paul did so. Other apostles wrote scripture.

It seems good to the Holy Spirit and to us...Acts 15:28. This gives us a...

Re: voting for pastors

Very interesting.

Appointed in the NIV.

χειροτονέω is translated as "chosen" in 2 Cor. 8:19.

It literally means stretch out the hand.

Re: voting for pastors

Replacing an apostle was done via drawing lots. Whatever that was.

The table waiters were selected by the believers and were approved by the apostles.

The council of Jerusalem was led by the...

Re: voting for pastors

The NT does not say much about pastors and nothing about how to choose them or how long they should be the pastor.

Voting/elections are a reflection of influence on our faith by our culture.

Re: Questions About Greek Theos

I just reread Mark 12:29 in the Greek.

"One person" is unsustainable.

Don't blame it on the trinitarians, blame it on ignorance of Koine Greek.

If Mark wanted the sentence to mean "one...

Re: One In The Greek

He did say that very thing in Jn. 10:30.

His prayers in the garden also show the unity (nonontological) he had with the Father.

Got to go to work.

Re: One In The Greek

The BAGD quote is interesting.

It is not a reference to a person in the theological sense. Certainly not in the ontological way you imply.

Is BAGD saying it should be translated as "single...

Re: One In The Greek

The statement made by Jesus Christ in John 10:30 is very interesting. But Neither John nor Jesus said anything about a body in that verse.
