I suppose. But I'd argue Paul would have contended for unity despite the diversity, not the other way around. Especially on non-Gospel issues. Participating at the table with food offered to idols and fellowship with brothers is two separate things. I'd have to imagine Paul's tone would be more insistent on not separating over the issues of what so-and-so says at baptism. But just my thoughts.
