Is pointing the sum total of salvation to Jesus alone really "dogmatic," or if it were, is that incorrect or in error? Is He Salvation or isn't He?
This is the statement I had issue with, "Too many think of salvation as a commodity, an achievement, an event, a happening. In reality salvation is Jesus Christ. Jesus means "Jehovah, My Salvation". His name was to be called "Jesus, for HE shall save His people from their sins"."

There are indeed verses in which the word, salvation, points directly at Jesus but others do not. I think Deacon was being as dogmatic from his point of view of "who" salvation is as those who use the word, salvation, exclusively for an event or a happening.
