Yes, because our ultimate power is in the Gospel, the work that He did. But I would suggest (tongues aside) that a life without the Spirit, and without the gifts is not yet full. The Spirit is not a nice thought, it's a necessity.
You may not speak in tongues, but are you alive in the Spirit, are you believing in the Spirit, praying God speaks by His Spirit, expectant of the Spirit, available and praying that God uses you with a gifting of the Spirit?
