I understand your point here, i really do. However, i see great potential for error when someone from the congregation has some sort of control over the pastor. How is he then free to teach or preach what he feels led to? If he goes into a church where those on the board do not pay tithes and he begins teaching on tithing, it would be easy for the board to move to dismiss him because his teaching is offensive to them.
