I noticed they did not say alternatives "could" sufrace but rather that alternatives "would" surface. Again I belive this is an intentional message.

Exactly. It is inevitable.
The UCs in the fellowship will never maintain perpetual fellowship with an organzation that allows such liberties among their churches and ministers. On the other hand, the "progressives" will never maintain fellowship within an organization that continually repress the vision of those who seek further venues of ministry that television allows for.
