I love my mom, but she had lots of problems when I was growing up and still hasn't gotten over some of them. She married young and had seven children within 12 years. My father spent weeks away as a long distance truck driver to support the family. So he wasn't around to help with discipline or support.
Feeling she lost her youth, my mom started drinking with friends and became an adulterer and alcoholic and had a nervous breakdown. An unpleasant divorce followed when I was a teen.
She was there for me as an adult when I was going through some rough times. She really is a nice person and funny but not saved. She tells me she now has a relationship with God in her own way.
She's flying up for a visit from Florida the middle of June. Please pray God will open her heart go to church with me. Last time she was here I was able to share with her how God saved me.
