Re: Cain's Press Conference

I've had the same thing happen to me with a potential employer. Although he didn't touch any personal parts, he tried to kiss me. We met for dinner and drinks, not uncommon in the sales profession. We went back to the office to look over and discuss potential strategy. Standing by his desk, he suddenly moved closer and put his hands on my arms and drew me close. I rebuffed him, left the office, didn't take the job and never mentioned it to anyone. Why not? Because it didn't make a hill of beans to anyone but me. I found another job and moved on. I didn't feel he would rape me, that is one reason I didn't make a big deal out of it.

If this incident happened to this woman and it is true that he ran his hand up her skirt, I'm betting she knew he wouldn't get violent with it and walked away. A lot of us have been put in vulnerable positions in the work force. There isn't much you can do, but walk away. I could tell at least three more stories I can remember, off the top of my head. It's not that uncommon.

If the guy, in my story, had been running for president and all these other allegations came up and I watched him make denials, I would discuss it with my current family to see if they wanted to go the distance with me. I would feel it was part of my patriotic duty to share my story.
