My Sweet Mother married late in life (for the 1950's) she was 34 and married a UPC Minister. Less than a year later and before I was born my Dad decided to leave God, my Mom and me and he never looked back. My mother was both a Mom and a Dad to me. She could have been bitter but she was not. She was a great prayer warrior and when ever anyone would call and need prayer she would IMMEDIATELY put aside what ever she was doing and go to prayer. She loved me and called me her baby until the day she passed. In the last few weeks of her life a stroke had taken her voice, but when ever my husband would sing hymns to her or read the bible she would raise her little arm and worship God! She loved me unconditionally even when for a time I walked away from the Lord, she never was harsh she just prayed all the harder for me until I came back home to the Lord. This is my third mother's day without her, and I miss her terribly. I plan on meeting her in front of the Throne one day !!! I strive to be a good mother like she was but above all to love the Lord and serve him the way she showed me by example. I love you Mommy !! (were spanish and we call our parents Mommy and Daddy even when were old

)
