I find nothing spiritual about bible quizzing. Instead of building up each other it builds pride. It's just a way for youth to say look I'm smarter and more spiritual than you. It's a competition and while I understand that friendly competition is one of the best motivators for doing something like memorizing the bible... i think it teaches youth to memorize the bible for the wrong reasons.

I agree with some of this, but I think it's good overall. I still remember a lot of what I learned, and it helped put scriptures into context years later.
