Re: All I Want for Christmas is....

My Christmas wish list would have been a lot shorter and less expensive had I known as soon as we bought it the heater core was going to go out in my wifes Lincoln and it is going to cost $1200 to fix! Arghhh!!!

My wife got me the following for Christmas (most of it she doesn't even know she got for me yet!);

1. New Speakers for the Home Theater
2. New wifi Blu-ray player
3. Sony MP3 player (because I am too cheap to buy an Apple one)
4. Mission Impossible 1988 remake tv series season one
5. Various Blu-ray's of the major movies that came out this past year and I never got around to seeing.

In addition I bought myself a kindle fire (poor man's ipad) and a 40" flat screen tv for the bedroom (yes I know experts say not to have one in the bedroom).

The wife is getting an iphone 4s and bicycle.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
