And I do not think that a person who has struggled with a certain sin or issue will never be able to counsel or work with people dealing with that same issue. But I do believe there should be a time element and that those counseling sessions should be covered with much prayer as the spirits like to hitchhike and if they find any open door they are going to jump through them.

I know that what Satan means for harm, God can make good and alot of our best counselors, teachers, deliverance ministries, etc come from people who have walked in the shoes of the people that they are counseling. BUT, it is not overnight.

It's just like ILG stated about being careful who she "talked to" when she was dealing with certain issues, people need to use good old fashioned WISDOM when working with other folks.
