Re: So you think you'd be a good PasTor/Preacher

I am reminded of David when he was chosen to be king of Israel. But while Saul was king, David did not force out Sau. In fact, David said, touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. So when I was restored by the Lord, i asked Him to lead me to a church, because nowadas, there is so many. In fact, another scripture comes to mind "Lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths"...so when I started attending, I believe within myself that I am smarter than this preacher, and could preach, and lead this church better. But if that was the case, why am I not the preacher/pastor? God showed me the time when Moses led Israel to battle, and Moses was on top of the mountain. When he held his staff, Israel would win, but when he let his arm down, Israel would lose. Here comes Aaron, and Joshua. If they had not assisted Moses in holding up his tired arms, Israel would not have won. Pastoring a church requires more than just preaching a good message. It requires the members of that church hold up the Pastor's arm in order to continue to win. Support your Pastor, no matter what you think of him. Remember, Do it, as unto the LORD.
