We did! TWICE. And would have adopted many more if it had been possible at the time.
The fact is that the waiting list for people to adopt is very, very long. You can wait 2-5 years and then still a baby will not become available. It's much easier for a birth mother today to kill her child than it is for her to place that child for adoption. It's interesting. If a girl says that she had an abortion, people give her sympathy and support. But if a girl says that she placed a baby for adoption, people say mean things to her - "How could you possibly GIVE UP a child who is your own flesh and blood! I could never do that!", they will say to her. Sad. just sad.
