Re: Are We Living in a Post-Pentecostal Era?

Maybe, just maybe perhaps, God does not allow one group to monopolize what He's doing as He moves His Church forward. Many will want to build tabernacles right where God reveals and transfigured Himself, but He has a mission that goes far beyond experience and revelations. Jesus wants us to come down from the mountain and minister to the needs of the people. Yet many just want to recreate the mountain top experience and consequently they are left there building their tabernacles while Jesus moves on. Many are pining for the transfiguration and God is wishing His church will help the poor fellow with his demon possessed son in the valley.

Modern Pentecostalism is much that way. We're always on the verge of that promised "great revival", the next Azusa Street, the next Upper Room. And as the years go by, God continues to build His church, while many of us wait and wait and wait for that revival we were entitled to.

I appreciate the Gospel-centered message, the Christ-centered vision and the focus on grace and mercy. THAT is what the world really wants. Not manufactured, emotional, hyped up church services. The 20-30 something's want to see Jesus.
