Yes Shazeep, I would say the only "client nation" is the holy nation or Kingdom of God rather than an ethnic or political nation. It seems Israel got a little carried away with being the favored nation of God when really they were what God wanted for all the world. It is the history of restoration starting with a man, then a family, and then a nation. Since God is restoring and reuniting all people he would not neccesarily favor one specific group over another. I recently read Greg Boyd's book "The Myth of the Christian Nation" which deals with the idea of the U.S or any other nation being the chosen nation. Also read his book "The Myth of a Christian Religion" which deals with the true kingdom and how it is manifested. If the bearing of fruits is the real indicator, then the kingdom would be the only true nation, which all people can belong to. Hope that contributes to the topic!
