Note, this is not the same as my previous survey on what should be done when a fake is discerned. From that discussion, it seems like of lot of us can tell when it happens. Can we? Always? Sometimes?

You can check more than one. Some combinations aren't really valid, though. A valid combination could be "I catch some fakes, but some may slip by" and "I can always tell when it's real." In other words, you sometimes (but maybe not always) call a fake a fake, but never accidentally call the real thing a fake. Or "Fakes never get by me" and "I may sometimes think the real thing is fake" would work. But if you check "I never make a judgement", it probably wouldn't make sense to check anything else.

Note also that I'm only talking about what you feel in your spirit (or mind, if that's how you discern), not necessarily that you necessarily do something about it, like call them down or report it to the pastor.

Of course you can explain your choices in posts, if you like.

OK. Too complicated? Nah. You can handle it! Now, get to voting!
Unless it's a devil, why would discerning of spirits be used to tell fake tongues?

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
