The point is not the size of the church. The point is, is the church reaching people. Not just transfer grwoth, but are people being saved and transformed and then are they getting plugged into ministries? That can happen in ANY size church if it is their purpose. I would like to see NLC grow, as Rick Warren states, "larger and smaller at the same time." Larger because people are getting saved and smaller because people are getting into small groups where everyone can use their gifts.

NLC is a very racially diverse church. We have different "colors" on our platform in our worship band, and different "colors" on our ordained ministerial staff and in other places of serving like ushers, children's church etc. It is not something that we have done as a marketing "ploy" it is just something that has happened.

I pray that God does whatever He has to do to help any church become more effective for the Kingdom no matter what size they are. God doesn't have a "number" that he wants churches to be at attendance wise. Any number will work if it is organized properly and folks are encouraged to join small groups and ministries.
