As you can see, I don't read fiction. I used to, very much so, when I wasn't a Christian, especially science fiction and fantasy. But I found it necessary, as a conviction, to give that up.
I also have quite a few books on tap, as well.
They include (again in no particular order):
Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee by Dee Henderson
Psalms, A Translation with Commentary by Dr. Robert Alter
The Art of Biblical Literature by Dr. Robert Alter
The Art of Biblical Poetry by Dr. Robert Alter
The Art of War by Sun Tzu
Jesus and the Gospels by Craig Blomberg
Jerusalem, The Biography by Simon Sebag Montefiore
Ninja: 1,000 Years of the Shadow Warrior by John Man
Samurai: The Last Warrior by John Man
The Passion of the Western Mind by Dr. Richard Tarnas
Religion and Magic in Ancient Egypt by Dr. Rosalie David
A few of these I started, and put down, as they are quite dense, and not easy to read. Lord help me get through them!
