If there was ever anyone in my life that carried the example of the passion, talent, entrepreneurial drive, and the fortitude to see things through even in the toughest times, my goofy, always smiling, always happy uncle Rendal was that man.
He was so adorably eccentric, and I had great respect and love for him because of it.
He was one of the few people I knew who could play any instrument in front of him, and play it skillfully. If he didn't know how to do something you would never know it. He embraced technology and used it to his benefit to get his message out.
He saw a talent and a passion in me long before I ever did, and he believed in me and supported my whole life.
A songwriter, a publisher, a teacher, an educator, a performer, a radio host, a television personality, a videographer, an archivist, a comedian, a fisherman, a father, a pastor, a lover of souls, and a great man.
He always adapted. Always learning, always pushing, always smiling.
I wish I had known him better."
