The truth of the matter is that (according to the information in the Bible), (a) we do not know why Abraham tithed
to Melchizedek. (b) Whatever we teach from the Bible, we should be truthful and thorough about it. The same applies
to Jacob. I hear it said a lot (you even said it), (c) that Jacob tithed. Show me where he did. I know of scripture
where he promised to, IF god met certain conditions. I am unaware of the Bible ever confirming that he did so.
Concerning Abraham, there is a Biblical fact that is seldom mentioned. He promised God that he would not
keep any of the spoils for himself. (d) Why is this not expounded on by they who teach that we should tithe because
Abraham (Abram) did? If we are to tithe, because Abram did so, and we should follow his example, why is it
not taught that (e) we should find some wicked, sinful, homosexual person of power to give nine tithes to. This
would follow the example of Abram.
(f) There is never a hint that God told Abram to tithe. There is never a hint that Jacob actually tithed. There is never a
hint that anyone in the Bible ever tithed money, including Abram, Jacob, the Hebrews, or anybody else. (g) To pretend
that there is, is speculation. To say that there is, is deception.
You said a mouthful: let me see...

(a) No reason given: but he is a prophet;
(b) no question about it, as much as we can with the info at hand;
(c) I believe Jacob tithed because he PROMISED to tithe;
(d) I cannot speak for anyone else;
(e) please refresh my memory on tithing to ungodly persons;
(f) I said this from the beginning: but Abraham IS a prophet;
(g) produce/products traded in lieu of today's currency (?)

If tithing is not for you, don't tithe: but admit that's only YOUR belief.
