My name is Matt. I am 36, and currently work full-time for the National Guard. My unit is facing an upcoming deployment in about a year and a half. I was baptized in Jesus' Name back in 2013, and received the Holy Ghost some years before. I first wanted a serious relationship with God in the Assemblies of God, and I credit a lot of the folk in that fellowship for instilling a sense of God's Spirit and some solid values early in my Christian walk. However, I had always heard of the
Acts 2:38 message, but didn't fully understand it until grad school when I met an Apostolic neighbor---however, it would still be some years before I was baptized.
My question is this...since my baptism, I was involved in some pretty serious sin---would this warrant a re-baptism after repentance? I wasn't raised Apostolic (or even Oneness), so I really don't know. I look forward to chatting with everyone. Please feel free to reply as time permits.
