New variant BA.5 Omicron is the most contagious of the variants, but doesn't lead to severer illness. If anyone gets it, you will feel like you have a flu, but nothing major. So, while it is the most contagious it is the weakest. If you have a lousy immune system you may be more apt to get this variant, but still have no chance of hospitalization or severe illness. That is with or without vaccine.
