I do NOT believe that Christians are "Ranked" differently...I do believe that God expects more from those who accept His Calling on their Life...
There is a greater responsibity placed on them because they are accountable to Him for those placed in thier Care....
and some would exchange care for "underneath"....but I don't agree with that either that's where "ranking" comes from..... I like the term "Care"......

The Apostleship is a gift, not something that one aquires through natural means. It is a gift of God.
But there is a ranking/order to the Kingdom,
I Cor. 12 details this,
27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28And in the church God has appointed
first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. 29Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues[d]? Do all interpret? 31But eagerly desire[e] the greater gifts.
The word first means first, no way around this, there is a ranking in the Kingdom. Again don't read into the text the idea that ranking diminishes value or worth, just importance of function.
