My mind made a jump from the events that occured that night with the prophecies that went forth to so much prophecies that go forth today in the name of the Lord...that are not from the Lord.

There was a few weeks ago a thread that about a certain TBN Prophet that has prophesied all sorts of things. Supposedly he prophesied Katrina. He probably did. He has prophesied things about the auto industry and Detroit. I forget his name except for Kim something. I defended the man at first since I never think that one should jump off into judging a prophet without "trying the spirits to see if they be of God." But then, another poster gave me a web-site to visit. It soon became that the man is moved by a false spirit of divination which is not a huge leap, when one moves in the spirit realm from the real and the false. Unsanctified spirits easily enter into those areas when personal agendas are involved.

I questioned whether we are ready to receive the sorcerer instead of a Prophet moved entirely by the Holy Ghost. The word sorcerer was not directed toward the person prophesying THAT particular night. To have done so would have been a stretch further than I would have been willing to make at this point.

I wrote an article found on www.ApostolicLibrary.com under "contents" concerning Sorcerers and the Art of Sorcery. You might would like to read it. From that article, you can more easily see how I come to use the word "sorcerer."

Hope this helps to clarify the use of the word.

Again, I do not mind honest and sincere questions so long as they are just that...honest and sincere, even if they are laced with criticism.
I am not a prophet though I have prophecied before. I think that your actions are out of line. I am by nature critical of prophets and preachers. I may not agree with something that one says or how the word is delivered. That is my opinion. It sounds like Brother Stange is only giving opinion too. I was not there and did not hear the word given, but one thing I have learned over the years if it word some one gives is false then God will out it. There is no need for you or anyone to out the person giving the word, unless you are the pastor of the local congrecation.

I am sure that there are some others that agree with Strange. But that is their choice. You always have to line it up to scripture. Brother Strange it sounds as if you heared the word and just immediately jumped to a conclusion. Your choice, but to start a threat based on that is childish IMO.

I saw Kim Clement, the TBN guy you were referring to, on TBN the other night. There has been may prophesies that he has given that have come true, some that have not. He addressed a question about, "How do you know it is God spealing and not 'another spirit?" He said that he has been used for years in this gift and if he feels that God said it then he gives it. He is not concerned by the "false prophet" label. I can tell you that I am not scared either. Prophecy-a word spoken in faith, received in faith. That is fairly simple. Brother Strange, I do not agree with you on your argument. I feel that you fall in line with alot of the Elitist when they reject almost all prophecy unless it is them giving the prophecy. That is my opinion of what you are doing here.
