I'm completely agreeing with Chan regarding this matter.... it was the appearance of what they were wearing and their possessions that concerned the officer.... their activity was plainly innocent in nature, but drew criticism from the police officer and anyone else that may have seen it (not knowing beforehand what they were doing)
the police officer HAS to assume those guns are real until they are proved otherwise, which made all those kids a potential threat for a short-time.... a confrontation with officers in another part of the country might have yielded much less favorable results for those kids.... injury, fines, etc
