It isn't about whether a name sounds Anglo, it's about whether a name has an ethnic origin or is something someone just made up.

Would you want a daughter named Moon Unit or a son named Lemonjelo (a variation of lemon jello)? Would you want your son to have a feminine-sounding name like LaShawn (or, worse, to have a girl's name like Hope or Faith or Shirley or Beverly)? It's also about what the kid is going to have to go through in life by having such a name. Imagine what a girl named Female (that really was her name) had to go through in school.
