Here is a link that compares Roths to Traditional IRA's

http://www.americanfunds.com/retirem...-chart.htm?r=o

This is the same regulated information that you'd find on any retirement/investment/savings website.

Or type ROTH IRA or Traditional IRA into Google.

The internet is full of unbiased research for anyone that is interested in basic info about types of investments, mutual funds, or anything else that you want to know.

Ultimately, if I needed investment advice I'd look for a local CFP. It don't matter if he's independent or with a broker. Certified Financial Planners are held to a high ethical code with the best interest of the client required.

Some say to go to a fee only....but some will advise based on the idea that you may buy products with them. And if you're going to buy the products ANYWAY...you might save by seeking advice from an advisor that also provides product.

We provide Fee based planning and we also provide products. We don't charge most of our clients for the advice because they buy products and we get commission.

The key is that when we offer life insurance...we actually pull a comparison quote that shows the top 10 most inexpensive prices for the clients situation.

We have the same capacity to shop for the most effective investment too. Even though we're with one Broker/Dealer we can do direct business through our dealer with multiple companies which offers the client unbiased products.
