What I hate is when people act like they don't understand English at convenient times. I had this happen with a customer back when I managed a Sam's Club. She had switched prices on an expensive item and was trying to plead ignorance.

She said she didn't speak English, and then when she spoke to her friend in Spanish I knew enough to pick up that she was playing a little game with me, thinking I couldn't understand.
