It's a crazy culture. We were all raised to beileve that "compromise" is the one unforgivable sin. So we have to thump of chests from time to time to "prove" that we're not compromisers. Feelings get hurt, there's a lot of bad blood and then we get to feel the sweet Presence again as we reconcile... until the next time ...
