Nobody, but nobody could sing like Jimmy Swaggart back in the day. His voice, his style, and the songs he sang... boy, howdy. That was Gospel. I still have some of his old LPs. Still listen to them from time to time. "Down the Sawdust Trial", " Send the Light", "Let the lower lights be burning" Great music.
My wife and I were coming home from Indiana where I was raised and we heard Bucky Covington singing "A Different World" It was so fitting to hear that song. This was the first time I got to take my wife to my hometown. Right after we got home is when she took sick. The song reminded us both of our trip there and holds a special place in our hearts.
