I'm reminded of a story of a child with complete trust in his father. He first asks "Can I go with you?", then "Where are we going?"
The child has it backwards!
You first should ask, "Where are you going?", THEN "Can I go with you?"
To have so much trust in someone that you would ask If you could join them before you know their intentions, is a dangerous type of trust! It could be easy to be led astray!
This type of trust should only be left for God himself!
