True...
Several years ago, I took a Harvard speed reading course. I was taught first to read a sentence at a time. Then I was taught to read a whole paragraph as instantaly as I could read a word. Finally, I could read an entire page with only a glance. The eyes do not read but the mind does.
I could still do it if I were to train myself again. Sadly, I have lapsed back into reading word for word. That is easily done when you stop to meditate on each nuance of the word.
