Ok, kinda confused.....
I agree that it should be looked at as personal conviction. I wish everyone looked at it that way. I believe that if a woman feels like she needs to make that dedication to God, there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think if some people didn't have those fences up, they would be lost in the world. I would never tell someone to change or that they were wrong for making those consecrations, and I would expect the same respect.
HOWEVER, if your church does look at it like personal conviction, then someone with pants and cut hair should be allowed to sing a special. If not, then that's basically telling them they aren't pleasing God with their life...
Guess I just don't know exactly where you stand?
