It really would be a shame if you turned this into a thread debating the importance or necessity of baptism.

Why not instead just put your masterful people skills to work and advise the man on how to handle unsaved parents? Instead of it being in any way confrontational, this is a great opportunity to address people and include them in their child's conversion to Christianity. It's a wonderful thing!

What you believe about baptism should be irrelevant to this thread, because if a Christian believes something to be vital to salvation, they are obligated to pursue it with unbelievers in the hopes of leading them to Christ.

So...do you have any sage advice?
