This scares me to death. How can we ever be good enough? How can we ever please God now that we make holiness a part of "what we do that pleases God"?

Holiness IS God. Who are we to think we can become something that he needs? All he wants from us is our heart and life, yet after hearing messages like this the unknowing saint in the pews is left wondering how they can ever measure up. What they can do to please God! THEY CAN"T. WE CAN"T. It is only because of the price that Christ paid for us that we can have communtion with the Holy Spirit and it is his holiness only that keeps us in the grace of God.
