Jesus was born the son of God, but He did no miracles before his 30th birthday. (
Lk 3:23) Wasn't He was just as much God before He turned 30 as He was afterward? Why did He not do any miracles before age thirty? Weren't there sick people around who needed healing? Did Jesus just stand idly by as needy people suffered, if He had the power to help them?
Jesus did NO miracles, because He COULD NOT. He had the AUTHORITY to do miracles, but He did not have the POWER to do miracles, UNTIL He was annointed by the HOLY GHOST, with healing and devil casting out POWER. That happened when He was baptized of John. The heaven opened and the HOLY GHOST descended upon Him and abode on Him. (
LK 2:22)
Jesus was born the son of God, but did not operate, in the Earth, as GOD, because it was illegal for God to destroy the works of the devil, as GOD. If GOD, the Father, could have destroyed the works of the devil,
as GOD,
without breaking His word, then He would have done it.
WHY was it ILLEGAL for God to destroy the works of the devil, as GOD? God had placed restrictions on HIMSELF, but giving mankind control of the Earth. He knew what He was doing when He did it. It was NOT an issue of GOD having the power to destroy the works of the devil, it was an issue of GOD having the AUTHORITY to do those things. He had voluntarily and knowingly placed that restriction on HIMSELF. Why did He do it? Well, you ask Him.
GOD had given AUTHORITY in the Earth to mankind, (
Gen 1:28) and He could NOT take that AUTHORITY back, without breaking HIS WORD. This is a foundational truth of the Bible, and few people have recognized or understood it. That's the reason GOD the Father had to make HIMSELF a man, and enter the Earth legally, through the door of "being born of a woman".
Jesus entered the sheepfold (Earth) legally, through the door. "He that entereth NOT by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber". (
Jn 10:1)
