but this is the point where I take some issue with WW, the ideals were somewhat flawed and those flaws run the UN today. Count me among those who see the UN as an abject failure.

Please dont take the comment about Carter to be a reflection on Wilson.

What were the flaws?

I suppose my admiration of Wilson stems from the fact that he was probably the first American President to see our place in the world as it should be.

He did not view America as the world's policeman, he saw us as the world's intellectual, political and peace-keeping role model.

He was an original. No American president had ever espoused the ideals Wilson did, and he espoused them from a very early age.
